These cooking verbs are Transitive Verbs. The action transfers from the subject to the object. In Potawatomi, there must be agreement with the demonstrative, the verb, and the animacy and plurality of the object.

The singular demonstrative accompanies the singular version of an object.

Ni pi je i wawen? Where is the egg?
Ni pi je ni wawnon? Where are the eggs?

The same rule applies to animate objects.

Ni pi je o gigo? Where is the fish?
Ni pi je gi gigoyek? Where are the fish?

When you add wiyas to the end of gokosh, it becomes inanimate. The same is true if any meat part is added on to the end/suffix.

Ni pi je i gokosh wiyas? Where is the pork roast/ham?
